Third day here! HAving a blast but working extremely hard! (I wish aI had more of a brain to type right now!) We have given about 35-40 chairs here so far. The people of Thailand have so very little, but are so thankful and beautiful. The stories of each patient is unique and heart wrenching.
We visited a boy at an orphanage yesterday who is 2 years old. He is the size of a 4 month old. His mom was an orphan and got pregnant on the streets at 15 and tried to abort him. They both survived, and he now requires 24 hour care to survive. Living on a breathing and feeding tubes, he is cared for at all times. I looked at his little tiny feet and could not help but know that God created that little treasure. I rejoiced at the fact that He is while and dearly loved by The Creator.
I will share more soon......
Here are a few pics- I will post more soon!
Hi Megg darling! Miss you but am so excited to hear you are safe and sound and already hard at work! Love the pics and the story of the little 2 year old is heartwrenching but affirms that the breath of life is a gift. You are showing people who often don't feel valued, the value that God sees in them. Love ya!
ReplyDeletehi lovely. so glad you are there. God's working...it's a good thing. ;o) prayed for you just this morning that your body would remain strong, your heart guarded and your mind full of His truth. love you.
ReplyDeleteLove in our Lord Jesus. I am glad He has sent you to touch the lives of the people with the heart of Jesus. I have prayed for this little one and his mother that the fullness of God's blessing will be upon them and that they will become an awesome testimony to the love God and an inspiration to the people of Chiang Mai. I am asking and trusting in God to miraculously touch their lives for His glory and I know that He already has because you are there.
ReplyDeleteWhile I was praying for you today, the Holy Spirit asked me to share with you, set aside time each day to be alone with Jesus. Let Him refresh and re-energize you with His love. Review the events of the day and ask Him what He wants to share with you, what He wants you to know.
ReplyDeleteHe is the most important part of everything you do. You are one His choice disciples; and just like them, whenver He sent them out He wanted to know how it went. He is there to help, encourage and instruct.
The joy is truely in the journey, not at the end of the journey. I pray you will know the fulness of His provision and care for you on this adventure.
With love in Jesus
